Investment

Everything below is included, and there is one price at the bottom. It is the price Michelle saw in September, and the work on Tributes and Currently in Our Care since then has not changed it.

What is included

The website

  • A full redesign and rebuild of burstows.com.au, moved off the current website builder and into accounts set up in Burstows' name.
  • The homepage, with its headline, the Attend, Arrange and Plan Ahead panels, 126 Years of Care, the four homes and How We Care.
  • The Burstow Experience: Who We Are, Our History as a timeline through the generations, The Experience and the Facilities, together on one page.
  • Arranging a Funeral: all fifteen guides set out in six stages on one page, with the Complete Care Book.
  • Preplanning: A Talk of a Lifetime, Planning Ahead, the guides and downloads, and Sit Down With Us.
  • Our Services, with a page for each of the thirteen services.
  • Support and Resources, with the News and the Puzzle Book.
  • Contact Us and Gifting Back.
  • A page each for Toowoomba, Dalby, Warwick and Gatton, with a contact card, a map, a photo gallery and the facilities at that home.
  • The Memorial Urns and Jewellery order builder, with a selection form a family can print.
  • The Employment page, with open positions and an application form.
  • A simpler menu on every page: six items and Currently in Our Care, with the phone number always in view.

Tributes and Currently in Our Care

  • The Tribute Centre on Burstows' own pages, in the Burstows design, with a search by name.
  • All 7,980 people on the tribute list brought across, 1,210 of them in full with their services, notices, service sheets and 1,992 messages of condolence.
  • A page for each person, with their name in the address.
  • The pattern a family chose running across the top of their person's page, with a place in administration to upload one.
  • A share card for each person, so a page shared to Facebook carries their photo, their name and the Burstows logo.
  • Service sheets that open on the page as a booklet you can turn.
  • A flower picture for each person who has no photograph, in place of a grey circle.
  • Currently in Our Care as a Burstows page in the same design, grouped by the day of the service.
  • Old tribute links landing on the person's new page.

Administration

  • Administration for your media team, where they add a person, change a date, add a service, a notice or a service sheet, and press Publish.
  • The website refreshing itself within a few minutes of any change made there.
  • Families able to leave a message on a person's page, and the team able to hide or close the messages on a page.
  • Currently in Our Care running from the live records and today's date.
  • The 85 pieces of everyday content moved in so the team changes them from one place: 13 services, 16 facilities, 26 news posts, 15 arranging guides, 5 support articles, 9 urns and 1 position.
  • Recruitment records: every application from the Employment form kept with its CV, sorted by position, location, type and availability, and marked with where each one is up to.
  • Sign ins set up for the people the media team names.
  • Training for the media team on launch day.

Words, pictures and design

  • Every word on every page kept as your team wrote it.
  • Every document a family can download kept on burstows.com.au, the Funeral Pricing Information included.
  • Lettering chosen to match the Burstows name as it is drawn in the logo, on a warm paper background.
  • One warm treatment across the photographs, so the whole site feels like the same afternoon.
  • Photo galleries that open full screen.
  • A first design to look at before the build.

Being found on Google

  • A title with the person's name for Google on each of the 7,980 people's pages, with their dates and service under it wherever those are on record. A title and a line of its own for Currently in Our Care. The titles we have written for the homepage, Preplanning, Our Services and the Crematorium carried across.
  • A title for every page when it is shared, a summary on every page a family would pass on, and a picture card for each of the 7,980 people's pages.
  • The 18 old addresses that have changed landing on the right new page, tested before the change.
  • The work that makes each page quick to open on a phone.
  • The counting of who visits the website carried across, so your reports continue without a gap.

Going live

  • The five forms connected to wherever Michelle chooses: contact, employment, feedback, gifting back and the guide downloads.
  • The families' page banners copied onto Burstows' own storage, so a shared link keeps its picture.
  • The livestream player checked with its current provider before the change.
  • Two rounds of changes with you and Michelle, and nothing goes live until you have signed off the second.
  • burstows.com.au pointed at the new website, with the padlock in the browser and the old addresses checked on the night.
The new Burstows website, everything above20,750 AUD

The price is in AUD and excludes GST. As the work is billed from New Zealand, no GST is added.

What is not included

So there is no surprise later: photography and video, logo or brand work, and anything the livestream provider charges for its own service.
